A useful property viewing checks more than appearance. Compare the layout with your needs, look closely at the condition and record the questions that need a clear answer.
Prepare a short checklist before the visit: room sizes, storage, access, natural light and the features you cannot compromise on. During the viewing, ask which fixtures are included and note signs of repairs or areas you could not inspect. Visit the surrounding area as well as the property itself. Afterwards, separate what you observed from what you were told, and request written clarification where it matters. Photographs can help you compare viewings, but ask permission before taking them.
